First…Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers in all of your lives this weekend. This edition is dedicated to the mother of all mothers, Maria Montessori, who died today in 1952. I was a Montessori kid growing up and did not really know what that meant until I started looking for schools to enroll my son in. Her amazing works and philosophy on children and education was pioneering and holds up today, still. Check out these Maria Montessori | Fun Facts to learn about this amazing woman and the work she did to help educate children and with her social activism.
Also, in honor of this weekend’s Run for the Roses, take a listen to this Run for the Roses by Jerry Garcia. One of my all-time favorites.
